On the other hand, if we intervene on the control and selection of enzymes and microorganisms capable of metabolising organic residues, neither harmful or toxic substances nor bad smells will be formed; these are ecologically important results for humans and the environment in which they live.<\/p>\n<p>Compared with chemicals, they have considerable advantages. Every single chemical has an activity aimed at precise objectives and its action is not always effective when combined with other chemical agents on complex substrates.<\/p>\n<p>After use, then, chemical residues remain in the environment, causing side effects or even dangerous pollution. Moreover they overlap with bad odours and do not transform or reabsorb exhalations.<\/p>\n<p>On the contrary, use of our products acts directly in the process of metabolisation and, above all, does not leave polluting residues because it is biological in nature. This test was conducted using the product in a collector that collects sewage from different homes and industries.<\/p>\n<p>The estimated average population is 6,000 pop\/eq (amount of water per capita\/day equal to 220 litres). The daily flow rate was 1,320 m3 and the total COD load was: 1.320 m3\/day x 860 mg\/l = 1.135 kg of COD. For this testing, a dose equal to 1 kg every 400 kg\/COD was used for the first month (IMPACT PHASE).<\/p>\n<p>We continued with a maintenance dosage equal to 1 kg every 1,000 kg\/COD. The treatment involved the inoculation of different bacterial-enzymatic strains every week at pre-established points of the sewage.<\/p>\n<p>The overall weekly inoculated product dosage was equal to:<br \/>1.135 kg\/COD\/day x 7 days = 7.945 kg\/week COD<br \/>7.945 kg: 400 kg = 20 kg<br \/>inoculated every week, for a total of 4 weeks.<\/p>\n\t<div class=\"img has-hover x md-x lg-x y md-y was systematically distributed even after the end of<br \/>testing. After a few days from the second treatment, the total disappearance of organic biomass in almost all the discharge channels could be noted. These observations are confirmed by the witness network, which proceeded with the usual problems of clogging up of wastewater from drains, malodorous exhalations in the streets, and hygienic problems related to animals (rats) that accompanied the wastewater along its path.
